The euromicron Group has once again proven its outstanding competence in communications technology, this time in the field of voice solutions. Sparkasse Donnersberg renewed and standardized its entire communications infrastructure at its main branch offices in Kirchheimbolanden and Rockenhausen, as well as at 14 other branches. euromicron solutions GmbH, with its NTA Mainz branch, took over the order and provided on-site care and assistance, while
euromicron’s Competence Center Voice Solutions
gave technical support. euromicron employees who had gained qualifications in Siemens’ HiPath 4000 designed and implemented a connection with remote locations to create a common platform for data and voice (Voice over IP). All 16 locations are now connected via a newly installed IP VPN (Internet Protocol virtual private network) from Deutsche Telekom. The MPLS technology used in this is the most cutting-edge form of IP networking. As a result, IP phones and data terminals (PCs) can communicate with each other simultaneously, directly and reliably.
In summary, this new communications system provides an all-round solution where the previous diversity of phone numbers is eliminated. Customers will be able to contact all of the saving bank’s branches via centralized numbers in future. Moreover, no charges are incurred for calls between the bank’s branches, meaning long-term cost savings. And the HiPath 4000 system ensures the highest possible fault tolerance in voice communication throughout Sparkasse Donnersberg’s branch network.
