euromicron has joined the FTTH Council Europe as part of its further internationalization steps in the fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) market. This association aims to decisively speed up the deployment of FTTH infrastructure in Europe and so contribute to Europe’s long-term competitiveness compared with other nations and regions. The FTTH Council Europe calls for immediate action to be taken to secure this competitiveness and also strives to persuade politicians and opinion leaders from society of the necessity of this as part of its work.
By becoming involved in the European division of the worldwide association, the euromicron Group will make its extensive expertise in fiber-optic technology available and help drive FTTH deployment in cities and municipalities, nationally and internationally, with services ranging from consulting to implementation.
With its competence as a manufacturer and in systems and implementation, coupled with experience in network and fiber-optic technology and cutting-edge applications in security and communications technology, as well as healthcare or surveillance solutions, the euromicron Group has evolved into a major player in the network infrastructure market over the past years.
“Our prime goal in joining the FTTH Council Europe is to help speed expansion of fiber-optic networks in Europe and Deutschland,” stresses euromicron’s Executive Board member Thomas Hoffmann.
The terrific pace of technological developments in IP-based applications means that new market opportunities are opening up all the time. The e-health market is just one example. “Without the necessary infrastructure, which can only be secured lastingly by fiber-optic networks, municipalities, regions and countries will lag behind these developments and so suffer negative economic and social effects,” says Hoffmann.
