- SKM Skyline wins “Top Distributor SV8100 Award” for fiscal year 2009/10
The euromicron Group is integrating the activities it has taken over as representative agent for the German telephony business of NEC in SKM Skyline GmbH. The two euromicron Group companies SKM Delwave GmbH und Skyline Communication Systems GmbH have been merged into one, strengthening each other’s portfolio and range of services. The company also now has four locations – in Munich (headquarters), Hamburg, Augsburg and Kaarst – and so a nationwide network of branch offices to provide customers with the latest NEC telecommunications solutions, an extensive range of active and passive network components and many years of consulting expertise in all matters relating to telephony and networks. As part of the euromicron Group, SKM Skyline will further build the fine relationships with NEC’s European head office. With its portfolio and NEC’s UNIVERGE SV8100 / 8300 / 8500 communications solution, the company cultivates the indirect sales channel.
“Under our partnership with NEC, we represent its telecommunications portfolio in Germany through SKM Skyline and, as master distributor, offer our channel partners extensive support in the form of a Distribution and Competence Center (DCC) so that they can grow their NEC business,” states Thomas Hoffmann from euromicron’s Executive Board. “As a network specialist and system integrator, we have thus also optimized our overall portfolio in the communications arena further,” adds Hoffmann.
euromicron’s subsidiary also had a successful appearance as SKM Skyline GmbH at the NEC Partner Conference 2010 in Istanbul, to which NEC Unified Solutions had invited its distributors and partners from EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa).
Thomas Hoffmann, along with the Managing Director of SKM Skyline GmbH, Torsten Gross, and the euromicron Alliance Manager Martin Reiss, was presented there with the "Top Distributor SV8100 Award” for 2009/2010. The channel partners of SKM Skyline, Rohwer & Mehrens GmbH (MERONEC Distribution), and euromicron’s subsidiary ssm service GmbH also received accolades for their achievements in the past fiscal year.
Yoshika Katsura, NEC’s Vice President Product Management, presented the award and Lex de Gier, Vice President Marketing & Sales at NEC Unified Solutions, thanked the partners for their great commitment and congratulated them on the significant increase in market share.
